Well, my dear friend, it's a rather funny/frustrating story. I paid just over $2,000 for it, but it was shipped with UPS. They did their thing and dropped it. Hard. I got it home, opened the box, and took off the padded cover. I almost threw up. The wood was separated, the chassis was bent in spots, and it was just a mess. I contacted the seller immediately and after a few days of dealing with UPS, he reimbursed me and UPS reimbursed him. Originally, he was supposed to get the money from UPS and send it to me. We both ended up with the money and I got to keep the amp. He said he didn't care if I sent it back, but we were both upset.
I never brought it to a tech because around here because I knew the shops would charge me some ridiculous amount. Luckily, last year my buddy told me about a tech who works out of his house and lives 15 minutes away from me. I had to bring my guitar amp to him so I figured it wouldn't hurt to have him look at the SVT.
He called me up today and told me it was running and sounding great. The problem was exactly what he had expected. A jumper cable. He told me it was $28.75, but when I got there he told me $25 was fine because he "forgot to print an invoice".
Long story short: UPS destroyed it during shipping. The seller and I were both reimbursed and I got to keep the amp with it. The tech got it working for $25 and even fixed the the bent parts (i.e. the grill protecting the tubes).
What did I learn from all of this? Never be afraid to buy an amp online!

Back from a great practice! The Warwick did awesome as expected. It feels like I never sold my old FNA. I really have a good combination in tones I can get between the Warwick and the P bass. I'll be using both while playing, the P bass for some of the more bluesy groove songs and the wick for the heavier stuff.
I missed that signature growl so much, when I played it at the store I was reminded very quickly why I should have never sold the FNA. I DID NOT miss the weight though.
Here's a really crappy cell phone pic of my setup for right now, until my pedalboard is done, still using the Peavey, but I'll be switching back to the Ampeg soon enough.
And to Doomis...I am look at getting Mojo Hand Colossus as well. You have good taste my friend
Nice! I absolutely love my Warwick. There's something about that growl that fits my playing perfectly. Plus they're heavy as a boat anchor.

Talking about basses everyone misses, I miss my Spector. I had to sell it when I was broke awhile back. That bass sounded awesome
I own an OSD and I think it is very true to the original character of your bass. You can get an increddible midboost with some settings though....
Most times I let the toneknob on the lowest setting with my P-Bass, with my J-Bass turning it up a bit works better. It also gets into fuzz territory when you crank the gain. The switch offers you a different gain structure and some more tones too.
The first part of the sample is clean, then I am circling through some settings.
Mexico P-Bass with Fender Nickels, Orange TB 500, Warwick 6x10" and a Zoom H2 right in front of one of the upper speakers (no bassport directly at the mic)

I use BFD, sounds great. My buddy just got a new drum program and said it sounds even better than BFD but I forgot what it's called. I've used EZdrummer, Superior Drummer & BFD. BFD sounds the best but EZdrummer is pretty solid and relatively cheap. The pre-made grooves are easy to work with when you want to record an idea quick.
there is nothing wrong with peavey. I'd love to have a T-40 and a vintage peavey rig.

I chose the OSD because I never was a rat guy in the first place.
The OSD is a good counterpart to my BBM. Also great for boosting and JCM800 on guitar!

The Supercollider looks awesome as well, although I have to wait until June before I order something and until then it might be out of stock, not to mention that it will cost a bit more as well, although I am willing to give a bit more if it goes to the "small" guy.
Anyway, thanks a lot for all the input guys!

Since we're sharing photos, I just moved some things around on the old pedal board and am pretty stoked on both the arrangement and the provision that I left for a Xerograph Deluxe and an Expressionator.... I'll also pridefully mention that the design and build of the board was an idea cultivated over a number of months...

You are absolutely correct, there is nothing wrong with Peavey. I love that amp, I'm not getting rid of it. It will forever be my backup boat anchor. I am just wanting a little Ampeg grind with the new Warwick.
And people dont post enough pictures! These threads always have a lot of pics at the start be it turns to mostly text by the end. Rant over.
