I too have a Spector (NS2A) and I go back and forth between it and my Warwick as to which is my favorite. The Spector plays better than anything I've ever picked up and sounds great. But the Warwick has that tone that I've never found anywhere else.

Back from a great practice! The Warwick did awesome as expected. It feels like I never sold my old FNA. I really have a good combination in tones I can get between the Warwick and the P bass. I'll be using both while playing, the P bass for some of the more bluesy groove songs and the wick for the heavier stuff.



I missed that signature growl so much, when I played it at the store I was reminded very quickly why I should have never sold the FNA. I DID NOT miss the weight though.


Here's a really crappy cell phone pic of my setup for right now, until my pedalboard is done, still using the Peavey, but I'll be switching back to the Ampeg soon enough.

Speaking of fuzz, my girlfriend had been borrowing my Big Muff for awhile and returned it (she bought the Pigtronix Philosopher's Tone), so I think I'm going to see about incorporating that into my pedal board somehow. I was never that happy with it (it's not the bass version and somewhat sucks out all the low end), but we'll see if it goes better this time around.

I finally went back thru that thread today. Lately I have been thinking of getting out of my Shuttle to get a different amp. After playing this last friday at the gig with my V4B and new to me '73 810, I found it is just a terrible sounding room and no amp or bass combination is going to fix it. Which is too bad since that is the venue I play the most in my cover band situation. Listening to those clips and being a former owner of a few SVT 4pro's, that is what it sounds like to me. Not bad, per say, just different. I do hear what its capable of and i don't really care for 4pro's sound anymore, I think people are going a bit overboard. Not saying someone wouldn't love it, but IMO nothing is a substitute for a SVT.
