The Carvin X100B is a good tube guitar amp that you can still find for pretty cheap with some luck. That's my other keeper, got one for $300 and it's got a lot of versatility.

Guy I know has a x100b, I thought it was a bass amp at first :) but It was kind of a pooch he had some work done and it's better now I guess but still not on my list. I've played a VTM120 and their is one in a local GC but I didn't care for it either. I'm pickier on guitar stuff then bass, my lord :) hope some of this is helping mr. Tree ;)

I've been standing in my kitchen (at the back of the house) and seen them walk up to the front door, knock, and then IMMEDIATELY turn around and start walking back to the van. I had to run to the door just to catch the dude before he took off, and he actually seemed annoyed I managed to catch him in time.

Either that or they put the delivery sticker on the outside of my screen door and it blows away, or they come when I'm in the shower or during any other 10-15min window during the entire day that I'm unable to answer the door.

I play bass in a punk band, but this project came along for me to be in a metal band with some friends of mine playing guitar, so I couldn't say no. It's a blast.

Our bassist plays a an m9 with a berg NV610. We recorded last week and the glass in the studio was rattling. His 81' RD Artist (tuned BEAD) is really rad. I'm kind of jealous (aside from the weight)

My guitar player has an old Carvin tube head, not sure what model, but it's 160 watts of raw heavy glory.

And we're moving to our new home this week! We're gonna be the "house band" for one of the drummers friend's, bike shop. Went there last week to see it and meet some of the guys. They had a lot of band posters hanging on the walls...Sleep, The Melvins, QOTSA...We're going to fit right in.

I just set aside my Peavey Butcher (125 BLISTERINGLY loud tube watts) for a Jet City 100w head. 20 or 30lbs lighter, and tone for days.

His RD sounds REALLY great, and especially for BEAD tuning, the 35" scale really works well.

We're kind of a hilarious band, because between the 5 of us, 4 of us are over 300lbs, so Hossferatu is about the most fitting name we could ever have.
