Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread Part Ten - What is this thread about again?

I did, and it was defective too...in a different way...been waiting two months to get it refunded...im now calling ten times a day...Paypal cant do anything at this point.... But I have a back up plan.

Has anyone listened to the new Dopesmoker? Seeing as this is the second time a remastered version has been released, what do you guys think?

Waiting for mine... and it sucks.

Wade seemed like a stand up guy. He seemed like he was with us in our tone goals. Now we are realizing he was just a piece of ****. I feel happy I didn't have to go through that. I was really close to getting the Lodestone pedal and some 1-15" cabs from him. I am so glad I went with Carvin instead. I really feel bad for all the guys that had or are still having a hard time with him. Now all we can do is hope Wade finally makes good on everything he's promised you guys.

I'm so glad I was completely broke when that TB buy came up on those Magmas.

In other news, got an offer for a beat-up Peavey 2x15 cab for $20. I was thinking about it before remembering that I have a Peavey 1810 cab at home - mostly disassembled - waiting to be fixed up too. Think I'll pass on this one.

In other other news, I'm playing with Black Pyramid and Gozu Thursday. That's going to be a fun show.

Never again will you see me pick up or even attempt to pick up a peavey 1810 cab.

The RAT has been kicking butt at practices lately. With my Dimarzio loaded Precision it's perfect. With the SD HBs in my Drake it still needs a clean blend to let some low end back in, but the overall dirt tone works really well. Feels like I'm starting to hone in on the sound I want. It also helps that I'm getting to branch out with some songs that have a lot more space and groove for me to play around with. In Cold Mourning I've been playing mostly songs that have been written a long time, so it was more about sticking to THAT sound...now we're finally writing as a group with our own new vibe, my influence is in the mix a lot more now. I like playing the Drake a lot more, really smooth action and so light, I just need to get some hotter pickups in there pronto.

Duel is one of my favorite movies, by the way.
