Storing basses

I'd do option number three in a hardshell -- that way, the neck is supported completely and it won't warp if it's store in there the majority of the time. It shouldn't any other way, but I'd just be way more comfortable with that method of storage.

I'm a bad daddy. Other than my warwicks (which I don't play much) my other two basses are lying around the house, propped up against chairs, standing in the corner, etc.
