That's possibly the most awesome thing I've ever seen. Subbed to this, just in case more awesome follows, though I doubt it, as the pre-existing awesome level is already over 9000.
This thing looks incredible!!! I love Fender basses and the strat is still my favorite guitar. Would you consider making and selling another body and pickguard? This is a build i would love to do. Wonderful job.
Here, I flycut the blanks backside to have a smooth starting point. Would it have been easier if i had a surface planner? I'm not sure.

Last pics unless I get a special request. All in all, I'm very happy with the way this turned out. When I hold or play this bass, it really feels like it came from the factory. I think I'll like it even more when the nitro finish starts to show some wear.
Have to say I like the fly cutting for surface planing idea....Seems a reasonable alternative. I can't get thicknessers wide enough that aren't going to take a lot of floor space. The portable ones always seem a couple of inches short of 12".
