Now the details. Credit for this deal goes to TB'er rko, who posted about finding Streamliner 900s online for $455 in the thread about the future of Genz Benz. Those are available from AndrewsMusic here:

That itself is a SCREAMING deal. But never one to be satisfied unless the gear is practically free, I price matched it at Music123, which also discounts by 23% of the difference between the price they're matching and their regular price ($959).

Note that the key to this deal is that Andrews is an authorized dealer, and that Fender has NOT announced a closeout or discontinuation of this amp! (Closeouts or discontinued merchandise = no match.) THANK YOU FENDER! ;)

I believe Music123 has about 2 more STM900s in stock. You could also price match the STM600, which Andrews is selling for $450. Or when Music123 runs out of 900s, try MusiciansFriend or another site that price matches. I don't know of any that also lower the price by 23% like Music123 did, but if anyone can get it for less than $339, let us know!

Cheers, Bob :D:D:D

Did you call or email?

Did you call or email?
Glad you asked...I had forgotten that the Music123 price match link ("Seen a better price? Click here") wasn't working in either of my browsers, so I submitted an e-mail to customer service through their general contact link and gave all the necessary information--URL of the other deal, my contact information, and mentioned that the price match link wasn't working. They sent me an e-mail with the match within about 24 hours. I did have to call to place the order because they had lost my account information in their system (they had an old e-mail address). If you have an account from previous orders I believe you'll be able to order without calling, but calling was no big deal. Just don't use the words "closeout" or "discontinued" or say "isn't it a drag Fender is shutting down Genz Benz!" ;) Bob

123 told me they were out. I can't imagine how that happened
On to the next matching site--MusiciansFriend, Woodwind and Brasswind, Guitar Center (I just checked all three and they all have stock; they'll price match and discount another 10%, or MusiciansFriend will give you a gift certificate for 50% of the difference up to $50)--and let us know how you did. At those sites you should be able to get the STM900 for about $400.

The MF price match certificate is up to $100!!

GC, MF, and WWBW are only showing 'restock' and 'Used - Condition 1'. I submitted a request to WWBW since (I think) they were showing new in stock. We'll see, I've been pestering TB'ers selling theres on the classifieds all week, but if one of these sites can go lower than $455... I'm there.
