I’m not a fan of slap bass but love playing funky lines fingerstyle, the internet seems to only cater towards slap so am a bit lost on what strings could suit me best. I currently have steel DR fat beams on a Warwick Corrvette 96’ that need replacing.

I use DR LO Riders or GHS Bass Boomer. These work extremely well especially in an ensemble. The bigger the ensemble the better they sit in the mix. Depending on taste right out of the wrapper you might want to roll off the treble on your bass for a bit. For me the sweet spot is at about 25 to around 120 hours of play.
