Double Bass Strobel MB-80 Information Request

Does anyone know anything about Strobel in general? The MB-80 is specifically what I'm looking at.
Are these typically on the same level of construction as say Thompson or Christopher?
I searched on here but did not find much information about them.
I'm still searching, being careful about my decision.
I appreciate all the information I get here.
Thank you!

Tag says Music & Arts Center - Eastman Strings. I'm sure it's a student model. It's a 2012 model.

Does anyone know anything about these?
Seems like a decent price if it's not a piece of junk. It's not extremely far away, I'd still like to know if it's anything worth looking at.

I'm just looking for something that is on par with what I've read about brands like Christopher or Thompson. I bought a Thompson based on recommendations I got here and the it was a nice instrument.

I know Shen is highly recommended but I'm not seeing any of those popping up used around here.

I've steered clear of Palatinos and Cremonas based on everything I've learned on TB.

I can't find out much information from google searches on Strobel, neither positive or negative... only specs.

Any help will be appreciated.

Strobel is just the name given to Eastman instruments by Music and Arts. My daughter has a Strobel violin, e.g.. This bass is the same as the Eastman VB-80. I have the same model but it has a different name from a local music store chain. A nice bass for my purposes (I play exclusively pizzicato and mostly bluegrass and folk music), and seems to be on par with the Shens I've had an opportunity to play. All laminate.
