Also, I see some other forum guys talking about different versions of the mobius. Will I be able to upload things to mine to update it to the newer ver(s) to where it's just as good as the new new ones?

To my understanding the one I snagged is from 2015 so it's not like it's old. Just curious if that is what y'all strymon users do.

@Gregmon79 #22 duderino!

Im not sure updating the firmware is needed for the Strymons. Its not like eventide were they add new algorithms. I own both and in my honest opinion, the strymons presets are excellent. You could always fine tune. But the chances of you finding a great modulation tone within the mobius presets are a lot better than with the H9. In fact, the modulation on the h9 max is kinda poor compared to the mobius. But the pitch,delays and reverb on the eventide are out of this world.
Anyway, back to the mobius. The Call the cops chorus is excellent. The Phat phase is great too. The Grey Flanger, vintage vibrato. All of it is so good. @gregmon79 if you find its not for you please get in touch. I think I might want a second mobius for running flange into the pattern trem. I'll make you a solid trade offer. BUt if you want tons of good modulation you should keep it.

Oh no, don't get me wrong, I really like the mobius. I'm keeping it. It's quite a grand pedal. It's more or less my own fault. I bought a bank switcher for it and I need the updated firmware for the switcher to work. I'm just bitching. Not used to spending this much on a pedal so to find out I need to spend more to get something to work with it was a tad disappointing. Ain't nothing I can do about to except grin and bear it and enjoy the pedal or not use be switcher. I'll choose the first. I'm sure once I get it updated and the switcher going, I'll forget about the extra scratch I spent. Not a deal breaker.

I really like the grey flanger. It nails that 46&2 flanger. Really dig that. I also really like the just about everything on it. Once you get the interface down its very easy to navigate and tweak. The bank switching is a tad tricky but that's why I got the switcher. Put it in a good spot and I'll be able to hit foot switch to go one way and the other. So overall, I'm really happy with it. Just needed to get that little bitch session out of me.

So, I'm going to attempt to pull my foot from mouth. I have been known to be a total idiot at times. Make brash and quick comments and or decisions. Especially when pedals are involved. My switcher works fine. My mobius works fine. I didn't need to update it. All I had to do was switch my global setting to mr exp pedal to tap I believe it is. And man, does this switcher work like a charm!!! Gonna make my life MUCH easier. Cycles right through all around the circle either way and a tap switch too.

So thanks for pretty much talking me through it @IngloriousOz. You da man.

Just got a Timeline from a trade deal with another TB'er, and this pedal is gonna keep me inspired for quite awhile! Haven't been able to pair it with my Mobius yet, but I think they will make for some crazy textures. I'm also on the fence about whether or not to get rid of the El Capistan- I think it offers a decent number of sounds and option not on the Timeline that I would miss, and they pair with each-other quite well (setting the Capistan for space and the Timeline for texture seems to work really well!). This is one expensive addiction, but dang!

You're going to have a LOT of fun with the Mobius and the Timeline. Really loving the Pattern trem into the Dual delay, so wild! Post some clips!

The Dual Delay is my favorite so far- maybe tied with Ice. So many great textures in there! I really love running a bright Detune Chorus from the Möbius into the Ice delay- hard no to sound like a chorus of harp music...
I definitely prefer the Capistan to the dTape in the Timeline- though I wouldn't know what I was missing with those extra parameters if I didn't have the Cap. Both sound so good!

Here is a recording of my Rickenbacker 4004L SPC with the Flint. :cool: Still the best pedal purchase I have ever made, and that is dozens of pedals going back to my first one, a Heathkit wah pedal that I built in 1972 or so.

Sounds absolutely beautiful playing and recording Jeff. Thank you for sharing, incredible Ric tone too.
