Hello, I play the double bass (obviously) and I'm looking for some advice. I've played the double bass for 8 years and have studied with numerous local bass players, but I am currently studying with James Vandemark at ESM. I am currently in my junior year at high school and have reached All-State Orchestra as a Sophomore in PA (Currently working towards All-State for my Junior year). I am currently working on the 2nd movement of Koussevitzky and the 1st movement of Dragonetti Double Bass Concerto. I am curious on what I should be doing in order to prepare for college auditions and whether or not I am on the right path to making it into a school like ESM.
