SUB Bridge Rattle

Whenever I play a note on my A string or even sometimes the other strings the bridge rattles awfully, it doesn't come through the amp when I'm playing with one but I practice without an amp a lot so it gets really annoying.

I know that it is not fret buzz or anything like that, it is something with the bride on my musicman SUB 4.

So, is there anything I can do to get it to stop rattling?

Make sure all the screws are tight. Also make sure your strings are seated correctly at the bridge end.

That's misleading. The bridge to body scews should be tight, but the bridge saddle screws and intonation screws are certainly not tight. The OP should probably take it to someone to look at or call EB customer support (the number is available at the EB website).

So how is telling him to tighten the screws misleading?

If he tightens the intonation screws, the bridge saddles are just going to get sucked to the back of the bridge -- yes the screws will be tight, but the intonation will surely be out. If he tightens the bridge saddle screws, the bridge saddles will raise until they fall out of the bottom of the saddles -- they will never get tight. It's misleading to simply say tighten the screws.

so could the problem be that I have raised one of the bridge saddles so much that the screw part thing is just setting in there, not really attached anymore causing rattle?
