Subs for bar band?

It all worked exactly perfectly. We have way more power now and the subs are thumping beautifully. Monitors are loud as hell, mains are loud as hell. We actually had to turn it all down. I couldn't be happier.

...especially the monitors. I was wondering (if I understood the main recommendation) that you would use all the Yamaha outputs to run monitors (2 from each amp to stay at 4 ohms@). If you used both on-boaard amps for monitors, how did you control the mix to the amp labeled "Mains"? ...or did you just run the main mix into that set of monitors and not worry about it?

Sorry if that's confusing, but it was the one question I had about the recommendation, so I too would like to hear what you did in the end. Thanks for taking the time.

QSC CH 1 1, 2x15" 8 ohm sub
QSC CH2 2, 8 ohm 12" mains

I'm not sure I am understanding your question exactly, but I am controlling the output to the mains with the full range control knob on the front of the QSC, the output to the sub with the crossover control knob on the front of the QSC, the monitors for the stage with the main control on the Yamaha and the drum monitors with the monitor control on the Yamaha.

Now for your next trick...banish the powered mixer to the rehearsal space (where it belongs) and pick up a non-powered mixer with adequate aux sends to create the desired number of mixes (plus powere amps to power them. I'm glad your setup is working for you, and it also serves as an illustration of the major problem with powered mixers....they corner you into less-than-ideal setups as your needs grow.
