That's pretty low, common w/ 2 cell 9V Li Fe PO4 chemistry but there used to be Li Fe S2 chemistry that was 9.6V fully charged (don't see them on the market anymore).Just got my Subway preamp. Sounds great! Sounds great - very much like a mini subway. HAve had it running off of a 9v battery for several hours - really does sip power. @agedhorse - I'm running it off of a Lion 9v battery - anything to look for when the nominal voltage is 8.2-8.4v? I am assuming it'll just have a little less headroom? Thanks! Great pedal btw - I'll have it a rehearsal this weekend for the first time trying with the guys and getting some recordings of how it sounds in the mix.
If it works, it's fine but the headroom will be a little lower. When it becomes discharged, it may make some funny loud noises but this depends on the discharge curves of the particular battery.
