Subway+ Bass DI-Preamp II

That's pretty low, common w/ 2 cell 9V Li Fe PO4 chemistry but there used to be Li Fe S2 chemistry that was 9.6V fully charged (don't see them on the market anymore).

If it works, it's fine but the headroom will be a little lower. When it becomes discharged, it may make some funny loud noises but this depends on the discharge curves of the particular battery.

Its an EBL 9V lithium ion rechargeable. Been using them for years in my basses and other applications. The peterson strobostomp has a 9v out (powered by the battery) and I just ran a cable to it. Worked great for woodshedding. I think as long as I start with a freshly charged battery, I'd gig with it. I always keep extras incase something happens. I've been using them in the presonus HP2 headphone amps too - alkaline 9v's are too expensive to burn through if I don't have to. Thank you for the feedback!

My order arrived today - much earlier than expected! Probably won’t get a chance to test it out until Saturday or Sunday though 😔 But, I couldn’t resist opening the box and having a quick look. The size is great! My hope for this is to build a small pedal board with tuner, comp, dirt and preamp/DI for those times when the Helix isn’t needed.

The knobs on mine don't turn that easily. Maybe a little easier than my old trusty THDI? I really don't EQ a lot and am anticipating no issues with that.

The master is your (more me) volume from the bass ?
How would do you control the volume of the monitor mix(aux in) ?

Just one gig on it so far. Works great!

Yes, Master is to control bass volume. Use your Aux/Monitor from the board to control the rest of the mix.

@agedhorse Hey man, I just sprung for this pedal on Sweetwater, which I can't wait to get. I have one question and I apologize if this was answered already. I was watching the pedal rundown by Doug from Mesa Boogie on Youtube, and he said to try and use an 18v adapter if possible. I mainly play with active basses and am not sure if that plays a role or not, but I want to use the right adapter for it. Right now, all I have are those 1Spot adapters, but they feel a little cheap. Thanks!

The 1-Spot power supplies are actually pretty good. Like I mentioned in the other thread, 9V will be fine for most players, but you can get more headroom and higher maximum output level with 12V or 18V if you find that you need it.

My suggestion would be to return it and order one from another dealer who has a longer return window.
Were you running directly into your amp input or into the effects return? That can make a huge difference.

LAST CHANCE FOR “O” RING KITS !

After the first batch I said I was done but they went so fast and I had a lot of supplies left that I ended up ordering more O rings twice to use up the remaining supplies.

I have no more supplies left and only 11 “O” Ring Kits left. They are still $3 per kit. Once these are gone I’m done. With the ones going out today I’ve shipped 11 sets just this week.

If you’re wanting one don’t wait because when these are gone, I’m retiring from this job. 🙂

I even thought about buying it, but I saw that the In jack is on the top, but on the left side and the Out on the right. And my processor burned out when I tried to understand why you would do something the other way around. 🤣

Yeah, mine does the same thing. Had it going to the aux in of my 800D and the pedal mute on and there was quite a bit of sound stepping through.
