Suggest a flanger pedal

Buy used on talk bass from someone that has good feedback - and that's almost everyone here. You don't like it, then you sell it for the same price. Sometimes you can even make a profit. Buy new and sell the pedal, you just lost 40% of what you paid. Guitar Center has a 30 day return policy on their used pedals.

Then comes the issue of international shipping. Also, Guitar Center's policies don't help me.

Line 6 M5?

.... bulky size, but for what you get it's not bad at all. I bought it to cover all the sounds that I needed to use here and there, but didn't want to need to keep buying another random pedals. Couldn't be happier.

Glad to hear it's working out for you, I've been thinking about picking one up for exactly the same reason. I do kind of wish it could do more than one effect at a time like it's bigger brothers, but still... I agree, not bad at all.

5sg.

Source Audio Tri-Mod Flanger. 11 different variations on the theme in one pedal.

I would agree in terms of real cool sounds esp with a hot hand. recently swapped a BF2B for one of these. However I def notice a slight lack in terms of low end and need to blend in some dry signal. Not sure if this is my imagination or a sign that this is not a bass-tuned product. Still with a bit of tweaking, the best flange I've heard at a decent price even new.

Not exactly a pedalboard-friendly size. I'm running out of pedalboard space, and there are more pedals I want to add later.

Huge.

I'll second the Maxon mentioned earlier. My old FL-01 sounds fantastic.
Is there any noticeable difference between the Maxon and the corresponding Ibanez one, except for the Maxon being way more expensive?

Maxon makes, (or made) pedals for Ibanez. I'm not 100% sure, but I think Maxon uses more expensive parts, namely, the chips, than Ibanez does. I've never directly compared the 2, but I can say for sure, the Maxon 9 series are seriously bad-ass. the fl-9 is pure awesome.
