Suggest a flanger pedal

I can't compare the BF-3 to the other flangers mentioned since I haven't used them, but the BF-3 would be worth trying out at least I think. I'm pretty sure it can be picked up on the cheap used and it even does a simple slicer / chopper effect when set to Gate / pan and run in mono.

Boss BF-3. Love the sound of it, I haven't tried other flangers, and it does what I need it to (for the moment) therefore I have no need to try something else.

Flanger has many variations on the theme. For the folks that really like the flanger effect, having multiple flanger pedals is the best course of action. I wouldn't expect one pedal to be the end-all, be-all flanger pedal.

It is a $15 pedal. I liked it, but I wasn't looking for airplanes, just something to add a hint of flange.

I use two the Boss BF-2 and the MXR 117R. The Boss cuts through and sounds a bit clean/cold 80's style. The effect is focused on the mids. The MXR is warmer sounding more musical and richer in tone. If I had to have only one I would pick the MXR but the Boss has its placed too (think Cure bass line)!
