I can't offer much advice. I don't have issues, but with this specific band I'm currently using EMG (and Spector), which if you're going for true singles probably aren't up your alley.

My Suhr is more or less a straight up J bass with passive single coils and I haven't found it to have any more or less hum than any other J bass.

I have true single coils in my Sadowsky’s and they are dead silent and there is no interference whatsoever with de led lights and adapters. There must be something with tgat way both the Fender Victor Bailey and the Suhr Classic J (with active three band pre) are designed.

In theory, anything that boosts gain will boost noise, so the active preamp could be more counter-productive in this scenario.

I can say mine appears fully shielded (copper on back of pickguard and connected to the control plate, shielded paint, bridge ground).

I own a 2014 Suhr Classic J. I juat love everything about it.
Now, I'd like to install the same electronics (pots & cap) in another bass.
They pots read 450S3509 1334 CTS. Where could I find them? Are there exact replacements available?

Hello,
I would like to have some information about the rear profile of the neck.
The Suhr website lists the ribs (or dimensions) for the neck back shape classic J as : 810-930.
These are American value units.
They are not inches ! i don't think so ?
Please tell me what is the name of the unit of value of this rib (or dimension) so that I can convert it into mm (European unit of value).

Neck thickness on my Suhr Classic Jazz on the first fret is 0.81" (inches) which equals 20.57mm.
Just for comparison, my Fender Jazz AVRI was 0.86" (21.84mm), and a newer Fender Jazz Deluxe I had was 0.84 (21.34mm).

Having said that, 810-930 may well be inch 's!
In that case, 810 would mean 0.81 according to your answer (by moving the decimal point) at the 1st fret, and 930, 0.93 at the 12 fret, if we follow the same logic!
