I was so planning on building a 5 string. I already have a bridge and pickups and tuners…
But that thing made me crave an 8 or 12 string instrument, and I’ve never played one.

@Beej, I may have missed it, but are you planning to put an announcement thread over in Basses like we did the last time? Hoping to generate some additional traffic to our little corner of the bass universe.

Yeah I'd also like to congratulate everyone who took part. There's been some absolutely top notch builds as usual. Gutted I didn't get to complete mine due to circumstances beyond my control, but hoping I'll be able to get back to it and finish it at some point.

I knew mine wasnt going to get done in time, so I focused on getting it giggable. I still have a ton to do on the modular electronics. Dual switchable preamps, 10-way blade switch, and a few other things I'm still planning out
Same here; I have a few additions to make: replacing the white plastic side dots with the aluminum rimmed glow-dots like I did on the seven-string, cooler knobs, a back cover for the electronics (maybe I'll make it acrylic just for @instrumentalist) and cleaning up some rough spots on the finish, and adding more clear-coat.

I'm sorry I didn't vote. I've been a little preoccupied lately and waited until the last minute. Then, once I finally opened all the voting threads to cast my votes, I couldn't decide. I feel a little better that my votes wouldn't have changed the outcomes, but still.
