@Beej In the Partial Build category, two basses are competing. Voters will have a hard time trying to cast three votes.

The irony here was not lost on me and I was giggling about this as I put up the threads.
Should make for some interesting vote counts! 
Technically it's up to three votes (that's how the polling mechanism works), so it's entirely down to wording.
If we ever get some major sponsorships and have a pool of prizes to give out, we can tighten up the voting to satisfy contestants, voters and any other stakeholders. For this one, enjoy 3 votes on your two choices!
There's a simple solution. In all seriousness, if you prefer one instrument over the other(s), you can just leave a single vote. Easy as pie.

As a DNC I don’t feel worthy.
But, the great builds and builders who finished deserve our support, I thoroughly enjoyed and learned something from watching all of the build threads.

As a DNS (start) myself, I echo this. I wish I could have competed, but then again the field is something else.

And to echo the sentiments above, I love that build offs happen. NBD posts are great, but seeing the amazing things the creative and talented people come up with here and seeing a build come together is a next level of gear fetishism that makes me feel warm and fuzzy.
I agree, build threads are much more interesting than NBD threads. Speaking as somebody who so far has only been a luthiery-voyeur.
Making bass build threads, I love documenting it. Writing copy with humor (hopefully) I try to include the boo-boo's along with the successes...Same

I've learned so much from other's misdirected efforts, allowing me to avoid those pitfalls. Thus-far I have been able to avoid too many repeat efforts: so it's always new territory!

First time i see this kind of thread since i got into TB. Man, It's really tough to vote. I tried to cast 1 /category. But i got to say I'm really impressed by everyone. Some are really nice. I would really like to hear some of them. I'm curious about the 12 strings must sound nice.
