Let’s get ready to rumble !!!!!!

Mine will be an assembly/up cycling mix of old and new parts with a personal touch……..

Let’s start with the neck.

I will take it out of my Warmoth "super heavy/almost non-playable for me" jazz bass.

This is a Warmoth neck made of bare roasted maple wood with a padauk fretboard and steel reinforcement bars.

Okay so let’s keep going on !

Tuners : Hipshot Utralite made of aluminum with T knobs

Strings : I will start with TI Flats and see how it sounds

Pickups : Dimarzio Ultra Jazz

Bridge : Gotoh vintage bent style, made of brass with a black finish

And the most important part for me : the body.

This will be a Warmoth alder body, light weight, (4.4 # !) precision bass style with jazz pickups routings.

More ergonomic and light so hopefully will improve the playability :

I’m rather good at playing bass and build stuff but I’m crappy on good quality pictures as well as computer stuff………….

Maybe be nickname of P bass dinosaur comes from there………….

Their bass necks and bodies are at least equivalent to Fender Pro II series basses in terms of quality IMO.

And on top of that, it is EXTREMELY stable and rigid.

After a "cycle" of 12 months, it didn’t require any adjustment or truss rod tweaking at all.

I’ve been lucky on this one cause it was stock at Warmoth. It was a custom order from another customer that cancelled his order so Warmoth lowered down the price about 40% to get rid of it.

Agree. Warmoth make very high quality bodies & necks. I have purchased several.

Sweet build project! The peghead is one of the other styles they offer correct?
