A Tall Font style fuzz with an option to add mids and a "creamy" mod plus a Germanium boost that you can stack or use solo.
Plus a real rarity... A Wren And Cuff pedal with top jacks!

Anyone else getting one?

Actually those are side jacks, the pedal is just disoriented.

The Super Russian does seem like a deluxe Elephant Skin. Same enclosure, TFR based, and a boost.

Although the boost is a different type on the Russian, plus the Russian has a mids switch, and a high gain switch.

I wonder since the boost is Germ if its like a Phat Phuk

So is this just a tall font with a phat phuck after it?

Nevermind doesn't appear to be a phat phuck. Says "crystal clear transparent germanium buffered boost"

I was thinking the same thing, but "crystal clear" isn't how I imagine a germanium boost would sound. Maybe we'll get lucky and it is similar to a phat phuk.

Either way, got mine pre-ordered!

I didn't initially realize the buffer/boost could be used independently. I reached out to Matt at W&C regarding the tone/germanium-ness of the boost. Hope he doesn't mind me sharing a bit...

He said it is not like the PPB. Rather, it's a super clean boost well suited to push the actual muff side much harder when desired. But the boost does not introduce it's own gain, and this was to keep the muff drive circuit from sounding flabby or muddy when boosted. Regarding the boost, it "adds a nice subtle sheen to the tone when used on its own".

Good to know! Thanks for sharing.

I dig how thoughtful that design choice is. Makes total sense to prevent the muff from flabbing out.

God that pedal is gonna be sick!

A clean style Germ boost, interesting.
I know from experience that the boost in the Elephant Skin is really good for that “added sheen” Matt’s taking about.
The boost in the ES is a BJT, a Mosfet style boost I think.
I’m even more intrigued on how the boost in the Russian will sound since it’s not a PPB or like the ES.
