Beyond taking care of this awesome resource and the people who host and maintain it, what are the benefits of being a supporting member ie exclusive store /t-shirt or SWAG etc? I am considering gold level even though I don' t play out here as much as I did.

We don't stock any t shirts or merch any more, but there are some good perks listed on the account upgrades page. Gold has the nice feature of removing all advertising from the site ...

You have to wait for your current sub to expire first, unfortunately

I recently upgraded my membership here to gold lifetime, the absence of ads went unnoticed for several weeks, but is appreciated. Now if I can avoid getting banned for the stupid stuff I have a tendency to say, I'm 'golden'.

I read through this thread, having the intention of getting a supporting membership.

I still plan to this month, that's not the point of this post.

I've read through the procedure to sign up and I fully understand how to and what I get in return.

I'm really puzzled by some of the questions here. It looks pretty easy to decide whether or not to sign up for a supporting membership.

I really thought bass players were smarter than dome examples I've seen here.

Nonetheless, I enjoy the company and comraderie (sp?) around here, so I"ll be getting a supporting membership soon.
