Yeah, I vibe with it too. I think of it as sitting in some middle ground between a p with flats and an amplified DB/EUB. I have the 3, but I may as well have the 1, because the middle pickup cranked with piezo engaged a little feels like the main attraction to my ears.

Ahhh.... I didn't understand in the post on the other thread what you were talking about with the toggle. I have a Huntington 3, and its a push pull on the tone control. No toggle. Hope you find your answers here.

I swapped in a 1 Meg linear taper pot for volume and 500k B tone pot and things get weirder. Mag side works way better and tone sweep sounds linear. Switch to piezo and no pop but also not much volume from piezo until you bring the tone pot up. The volume pot adds mag pickup, can't get the piano tones that were there before. Going to put the shatty tone pot back in it.

User error on my part. :) A small bit of solder was grounding the second lug. All good.

Just a little update for anyone interested.

I put a used set of D'addario Black Nylon Tapewounds on my Huntington II (TV Jones Thunderblade Pickups) and with the piezo pickup turned on it sounds a lot like an acoustic bass guitar. Pretty cool but I prefer the sound of the Thomastiks so I'm switching back.

Another thing I noticed is that string to string volume issue that I used to have with the E string now barely exists. Out of 3 different sets I tried out (Thomastik flats, DR Super Brite flats) these seem to give me the best string to string volume balance.

I have one in excellent to mint condition that I may have to sell. I may be in some financial straits is the only reason I'm selling it and I will make a final decision in the next week or two. If I decide to sell it I will reach out.

wow no Huntington activity here for 7 months? I just got curious and went looking for any for sale or recently sold - and the well is pretty dry these days! Very interesting, does that mean that the ones that are out there in the world have found their forever homes? With all of us? And /or does that mean the buzz has faded and nobody wants them right now...
