Sweet MTD on bay...Marilyn?

In the title it says "Never used". Then in the caption below it says the seller played it twice at home. Who only plays a bass "twice at home"... especially when it's an MTD?

From a selling standpoint, it sounds alot better than to say "I played the ever-loving snot out of it", which is much more likely with an MTD

i'm pretty sure that's not a marilyn, and it definitely isn't tom's. it doesn't appear to be chambered, which is the main distinguishing feature of the marilyns. also the body is primavera with a wenge/wenge neck - i believe mike uses alder with maple/ebony for the marilyns.

thats a sweet blackened redwood top though, and a great price! someone should snag it...

???

how does one with so much great gear have an unreliable PC?? :hmm: just kidding man. Stupid Verizon high speed DSL goes out on me a few times a week. I lost an ebay auction because of that as well.

I foolishly attempted a BIOS update on a PC that I knew did not take kindly to such procedure. But, in the end, I crammed that new BIOS down its throat, and it seems to be functioning fine. I wonder if my wife had anything to do with this "temporary" glitch? :ninja:

That's not Tom's eBay username. And is anyone sure that's a Marilyn? Don't they ususally say that on the back of the headstock?
Yes, but even if that wasn't pictured, I can guarantee from the pics it's not a chambered model. However, it definitely looks like its top came from the same chunk as Tom's, which is beautiful.

Regardless...

That bass looks AWESOME... a GREAT price too, IMHO.

I got the bass today, I haven't stopped playing till now! It looks new like the ad said I could not tell that it has been played at all.

Man, what an instrument. Tone, feel, everything.

One question, what do you use to condition and clean the wood?

Many thanks,
