First Gig rig was a Working man's 15
loved the tone
served me well till I went from reggae to rock
had to up the anti

Went Hartkee for a while...
never satisfied
Destroyed 15 after 15

Then I got the call from a good friend who was liquidating...
now I have the power!
Meet my fire breathing dragon friend.

2001 SM 500
2001 Interstellar Overdrive Pre-Amp
Sitting on an SWR cab with an eminence 15 (Fender will not warranty my speakers any more so eff em!)
When rock giging she sits high atop an Ampeg 6x10 HLF
This rig has the best tone I have ever played!
With the Interstellar I am armed with face smashing distortion and harmonic feedback capabilities, do battle with my insane guitar player.
in short SWR RULES!:bassist:

Much Obliged, Bro!

Still got my eye on a Redhead (I am the "king" of less is more for the gig. I try to load in and out of the club in one trip- combo amp, basses in gig bag, cables, etc. in gear bag).

Was in NYC 10 days ago and played many fine SWR amps in the cool music stores near Times Square and Broadway. Love it.

I love my SWR! One thing I've noticed is that if I let it warm up for about 5 minutes or so before playing, it sounds way better and fuller. Does anyone else have this same thing going on or is it just a quirk with my amp?

SWR 400SM, Goliath(4/10) I am currently running the 400 into my Accugtoove "El Whappo" !! Love tat amp. My amp ( I was told) was a prototype for the sm500. It has a transparency control and xlr pad. Anyone use the transparency control?

Just got my new headlite in today! For hours I couldn't get a good tone out of it. Way too much going on in the 500Hz-2kHz range. That was just running my Big Ben but when I hooked it up in place of my M2 pre amp it sounded pretty close and at ~4lbs is a god send from my huge rack. Further testing needs to be done. It sounds awesome bi-amped by running pre out to the crossover and then to my lead sled but I need to test it out while using it's own class d power.

I also love having a Christmas tree.
