SWR SM-900 or Mo' Bass?

Id like to say that i recently had the opportunity to hear an SWR rig at a venue setting with no PA support. The thing sounded incredible. I honestly makes me re-think my SVT rig.

You may call me crazy but he was only playing through a 4x10 and what appeared to be an SM-500 or SM-900. He was playing a Fender Jazz through this rig, huge bottom end and sat in the mix well.

I was simply blown away, so id vouch for the SWR having an audience perspective. I just wish i knew what my rig sounded like from the audience.

EDIT: Wow, this thread is old. I didn't even bother checking the date before i posted. Nonetheless...

The more I gigged the smaller my rig got. I started in the 70's with a P and an STV, but I quickly realized that I was avoiding jams because I dreaded lugging the beast around. Is it me or is every jazz/blues club seperated from the street by at least one filght of stairs? I still have the P BUT I roll with a head and a 112 cab.

i just bought a megoliath for 400 dollars a few days ago and a guy was selling like new a Hartke 8x10 hydrive for 200. i have an old swr sm900 im going to using on them, i also just recently bought a newer sm900 for 120 bucks. the shoot out will begin soon im trying to go for a super clean clear sound!

C44EA84A-9DBA-426B-B8D7-2C107349A13B.jpeg the guy had two swr cabs i bought the best sounding one to my ears no fuzzy sounds. i need to try them out asap. just a few weeks ago i purchased and used eden wt800 from Guitar Center online and had it sent to the GC near me took it home and it sounded killer through my 4x10 but then i smelt a burning smell, opened it up and saw burnt resistors inside kinda bad, i took it back got the refund and they posted it back on sell the next day. i like that ampeg head you got i was kinda looking into them not too long ago the info i read on that head made a lot of sense to me in what i was looking for. Reason for getting these cabs is that im playing some metal in a project and needed to cut through my Schroeder 2x10 with a 12 in it was doing a good job but i didnt want to stress it and its a nice cab! What type of stuff you playing?
