SX Question

A question for all you SX Aficionado's...... is Rondo the only U.S. Dealer? I E-Mailed SX directly but have yet to receive a return E-Mail. The reason i ask is i see models (basses) on the SX website that i might like to try that i have never seen in stock at Rondo? Basically i'm looking for a cheap passive i can mod and thought this would be the route to go...? as bodies seem to be easy to come by but necks are hard to find or cost more than i'm willing to spend on a neck...lol

anyone?

Another thing that I have found very curious about the SX basses is that the headstocks of the ones on their web site look nothing like the headstocks of those that Rondo sells. Anyone have a clue as to why there's a difference? I do like the traditional "Fender style" headstock better than what I see on the SX web site, but there are some sweet Jazz models on the SX web site that I would really like to see at Rondo.

The newer models have the Fender style headstock on them. I've seen all of those models on the SX site at Rondo's site at one time or another. You just have to wait for his shipments to get there, and they sure don't last long.

actually, [Invalid or Expired Link Removed] is the real SX website. Team is the mfg of the SX lines of guitars and basses.

I believe that Kurt once carried the larger "fishhook" headstock models but got too many complaints and requested the headstock to be changed back.

I have the fishhook styled one. I knew one guy that just cut the extra off with a jigg saw, looked just like a fender headstock after.

Good to know about that site. Would be nice if Team did a better job letting Google know about it. However, it looks like Team Intl. is simply a distributor for SX and the other brands listed under them just like Westheimer Corp (http://www.westheimercorp.com/).

True, ActiveX does not mean virus. I certainly would not do something like that. I went to the site with IE and had absolutely no problems - and I'm very good about keeping a clean system and keeping all my anti-spyware and anti-virus software definitions up to date (I do PC support for a living, so I know something about what I'm talking about).

Thanks,

Craig

Rondo is the exclusive distributor of SX in the US. And Team International is the distributor of SX basses and guitars. But they are not just a distributor of SX and other brands, they carry a lot of weight in Asia and can dictate how the brands they carry are manufactured.
