SX URSA headstock reshape attempt

The last clear went on sunday night and has been sitting for a couple days so i will probably epoxy it and call it done just cuz i have a gig coming up.
Honestly, im not digging the highgloss poly...
after looking at other basses more closely, i think i like a satin finish on maple necks....
wonder if i could just put some Minwax wipe-on satin Poly that i have....?

Well here she is for anyone that cares. I know its not a hand built holy grail of a bass, or even a super luthier project, but i enjoyed it and i like posting about it.
So her she is. Still havent done the epoxy tho. o well.

Thanks guys.

Im pretty happy with it.
I really didnt care about having a decal , but i wanted to practice up since im refinishing my real strat's neck. Which proved to be wise cause i made a couple of booboos on this one.

Plus its not like i pretend its a really Jazz Bass. When people look at it i tell them and they think its funny, as do i.

I know I'm a bit late to this thread but.......

I have an AXL Player deluxe bass and I gotta say that of the lower end basses it's the best I've ever tried. Plays like a dream and has a great funky sound. However, the headstock shape sucks. I saw your photos of headstock you reshaped and see you musta glued on a rounded bit. What glue do you use for this as I reckon it has to be very strong. Also, any general tips for glueing and reshaping?? Thankxxx.
