That's awesome. Bass People really have been fantastic in their support of this GTG.I got the details from the Bass Player Email Newsletter, so Joel is spreading the word too. I'll be there for sure.
Did anyone else change their strings this week

I've never broken a string. And If I did, I doubt it would be the E string. How did you manage that?Must be sheer coincidence, but I managed to bust a low E the other night at rehearsal, so I'm trying out a new set of MTD Nickels from B.P.

Pretty sure I'll be able to make it on Saturday. Sounds like someone's already bringing an Eden Metro, so I'll bring my Tobias 5 and Yamaha TRB1005 fretless. Might chuck in some pedals too.
Sorry HZ, I wasn't trying to pressure everyone into changing their strings.
Man, that's hilarious, I have a mint, black TRB1005F up for sale, should I bring it along? It currently has a Steve Bailey pre-amp in it, I was thinking of returning it to stock to sell it.What the dickens?!? Where did you get a TRB1005F? I tried fruitlessly for months at the beginning of this year and everybody told me they were discontinued!
Hahaha, sounds pretty "brute", hey! The strings were actually around a year old and the E-string simply gave way over the bridge saddle, where it had been developing a kink. A bit of digging in and it went twang.I've never broken a string. And If I did, I doubt it would be the E string. How did you manage that?
I would get into so much trouble, but if you are able to bring it I'd love to at least have a look at it.Man, that's hilarious, I have a mint, black TRB1005F up for sale, should I bring it along? It currently has a Steve Bailey pre-amp in it, I was thinking of returning it to stock to sell it.

The way bass players are, I could fully expect everyone to have completely swapped gear in 12 months time... you always want what someone else has.
However, I came away still loving my Jazz fretless and 2x10 Eden combo, and it sounded great at the gig I played tonight so on the other hand I don't think I'll be swayed by everyone else's gear
Except maybe the 8x10 + WT800 rig...
Now at least I know I can't play the stick![]()
