Me: "I used to live on Cabrillo St., off Newport Blvd. 1 block up from 17th. Right where the traffic choppers make their u-turn to go back up the 55."

Bob Lee: "When was that? We could've had duelling EB-0's in Costa Mesa."

I wish I owned an EB-0! I lived on Cabrillo from 1980 to summer 1993. Used to play at the Mustang Ranch and the Crystal Saloon quite a bit, and ate at Mi Casa dozens of times.

Sorry, I now realized you had the EB-0 in your GAS list, not your current setup. :D I've had mine for nearly 30 years. According to one serial number reference book, it was made in 1966.

Our time in Costa Mesa did not overlap, then. I started working for QSC in late '93, but didn't actually trade coasts until nearly four years later.

My introduction to fish tacos was at an employee event in the QSC parking lot shortly after I joined the company. Wahoo's provided the food. The idea of a fish taco didn't sound appealing before, but I tried one based on co-workers' recommendations (and it was free, too). I think it was grilled mahi mahi. Mmm, it was good.
