Seems like a lot of my concerns have already been addressed of course. I'm just kind of surprised that the user interface design is so poor in this app... features that used to be easy to find are either buried or gone completely. :hmm:

Mods, seems like this thread should also be in the Mobile App Support section?

Speak for yourself dude. The old app was clunky and slow. I couldn't even load pictures on the old one. I've NEVER had a crash on this app, and the user interface is much smoother.

Other than a few little things like tap to go to the top of the page and only getting a few search results, the app is fine.

Ever think your phone might be the problem?

So do you have the issue whereby you get about half a nanosecond before the 'send a PM' option vanishes? Can you see who is quoted? Do you get the latest post when you list topics, or just the OP?

The old app, whilst buggy ticked all of the above boxes...this one doesn't, and for me make it a bit of a problem. A first world problem, granted, but a problem nonetheless.

you get search results??!!
everytime I've tried a search it says "this application does not support advanced search options", and that's for ANY search... I just thought it didn't do searches even though it has the button. i'm on Android with a Samsung galaxy I I, not really a "problem phone".

I get only a handful of search results. I don't know if it is android, but it seems like more android users are having more problems in terms of crashing, etc.

I'd like to see more people check in that aren't having problems. Could be interesting. :hmm:

They must be working on the issues. At least one of the problems was fixed for me: the thread now opens on the first or last page or post depending on what I've selected in settings.

Still crashy though and I really miss the touch the notification area for auto scroll to top and profile views...using iPhone 5.

The iPad app doesn't even have an option to send PM's (or at least I can't find it). Can't see who is quoted. It does include the latest post, but like Eyeball says, searching is pretty much worthless.
