There is no charges from the app, so the security thing doesn't make sense. The fees can be paid online via PayPal, which is secure.

The security thing comes from the fact that we (TB) have to grant access to our database to Tapatalk for them to render in mobile apps. It is the security of that that is our concern.

As Paul mentioned, there have been silent fixes to serious security flaws. One example would be this: http://community.mybb.com/thread-154047.html

There are also other things which would have enabled Tapatalk to upload our user database remotely, via a silently announced feature on by default. Not cool!

Does the 'new posts' link work for you? You can configure what forums posts show in that feed

The new posts is perfect, except of course for the infinite scroll. That scroll could be pretty buggy tho with the app.

I have always used the mobile browser for accessing the site, the apps have all seemed dodgy to me. I have managed to become just as addicted to TB, using my phone's browser, as any app user.

Crap!! Im on here ALOT and almost exclusively on my phone and hate the way the desktop functions on my phone.
I understand the decision and that you don't take it lightly, but I will probably be on waaaaay less now. And I don't like that.
