TalkBass App To Be REMOVED/DELETED [security concerns]

What am I missing here? What info of mine does talkbass have? It's been a while but I don't remember giving anything other than an email and creating a user name?

Anyway, I will miss talkbass very much! The mobil browser just doesn't cut it for me and I never talkbass on the home computer.

If their site gets hacked everything on your phone could be stolen.

It's not a matter of what talkbass has.

so yeah..is there a dedicated mobile version of the site, or just the desktop version that formats to mobiles? .cos I just went and used the site on my mobile much more than I ever do. I usually only use it in "web view" when I need to see a price or location and I've found it cumbersome on my phone then, but I just spent time really trying to navigate it for regular use andthe functionality REALLY kinda blows on my device. Things are very slow to load (even with a solid connection), the drop downs and type fields respond sluggish, and things that were easy to access now take a a number of slow scrolls, clicks, and waits...
Pages continue to load for up to 30 seconds meaning anything I go to read can and will reformat to a different place on the screen while reading it and any button/function doesn't activate until everything is loaded making me stuck on a page. I dont have the newest phone in the world, but its a quite good one.

PLEASE tell me im missing a mobile version option on some page! If this is my only option I am very bummed to say I won't be on one tenth as much and that REALLY sucks! I understand the decision but it is a major blow to the functionality/usability of anyone not on a desktop.

If the answer is that this is all there is, please go to my account info and put my email on a list to notify when there's another option, because it is very likely I wont be on enough to ever see a notice telling me there's a functional alternative for me.
I kinda feel like I'm getting evicted from my favorite online home. :-(

BTW, I never got the usual notice that my membership was expiring. I guess something in the site switch over overlooked that function, and I just recently noticed I was no longer a supporting member when I went to go list a pedal a few weeks ago. Well, earlier today I decided I was gonna sell off a number of pedals, one instrument and at least one preamp so it would be a good time to renew...now.... I'm waiting because it's going to be hard to sell when I'm tied to using the site when I have desktop access. Bummer all around.

I am using iPhone 5s. I do not experience any of the performance issues that you describe. Even when I am on 3G connection it still seems to work okay. I am very used to the web interface so I guess I am over that hurdle. I use the site every day on the web interface on my phone and get around just fine. Every time I used an app I felt like I was using Talkbass Lite.

Ok I'm back . its slow but I will survive. Paul no notice on the front page? If I did not scour the unread threads like an addict I would not have found this thread. A security notice should be prominent upon opening the site.

Thanks so much for that notification guys. It's really appreciated. But I do have a request. I use an iPhone 6 and every time I try to add a pic to a post on the web/mobile browser it says server error and won't post the pic. Are you aware Of this and will it be fixed?? Thanks tb staff! Keep up the great work!!
