No one questioned coin op 40 years ago. Why is coin purchase on mobile somehow evil?

She is good about not paying to play. But I think a lot of naysayers do so because of credit card abuse.

Most days! Damage to my cartilage in the lumbar region helps with that. Somedays not so good. Much better at 185lbs where I need to be.

Nice thing about working for someone else is matching 401k donation. I have a few decades to go yet.

Doing a very slow bass build. At beginning stages. Bought a bunch of parts I need on TB today. I think a good bridge is the only big component left. Now I just have to keep going on the wood work.

Does that count as a separate hobby?

Absolutely! Wish I could play bass as well as I can build and refinish. But I enjoy wood working as well as assembling and setting up basses.

Even though I haven't raced in ten years, I just in the last year stopped getting side jobs setting up Quadrajet carburetors.

It has been years since I worked on cars. Built a 76 Laguna S3 350 years ago.

I will update some progress next weekend when I get back to my Dad's shop.

Of course I keep saying that, then finding some great parts or pieces, or excellent complete basses. I really need to stop flipping basses

Just got rid of a Squier Jag to make room for a 5 string Jazz from a TBer in the morning. My P is my #1 and only until tomorrow.

Do you think it's safe to pick up local from a TBer with a really good trade history?

Usually good luck with TB guys, several times locally myself.

Craigslist Jokers are a different story. Car parts I met at a neutral site.
Hard to do with basses and amps without power.

Any tips for prepping finish for repainting? Fix dings, sand a bit and repaint (as opposed to stripping as some do) ?

I was wondering the same thing today actually, about painting over existing.
I know when I stripped my VM Jazz, the poly was seriously thick.
I wanted to stain it, so I had to go that route.
I'm sure there is something that will spray over the poly without issue.

Possibly. I have heard of doing that. One topic here talked about how to strip for pages and pages. Then one guy said, why not just sand a bit and repaint.

If that's the Fender code color, someone like StewMac or who knows probably makes it. If you have a sample, most automotive paint stores mix to match.
A guy I know recently repainted the engine compartment on his truck. They sourced the paint from Sherwin Williams.

I didn't. I was going to search for auto body supply. We painted an engine once.

Most engine paint is reactive, so it cures one it heats up. Smells yummy too

So I'm not the only one that takes "backup" when selling local?

Guess I missed that thread because its a 5er
Could be a chip from pulling the neck off. If the damage is replicated on the other side, I might suspect it fell over.

I always save the white pick guards and put on black.
