TalkBass Q&A Game

Second. I own 2 MIMs now. Very pleased with them. I got rid of the others.

Am I a low life that only owns 2 basses and neither is MIA?
No, but don't talk about it, they will burn you at the stake for heresy. I sold of my MIA basses as well. The CV Jazz did in fact sound better. Well built, but not as nice as the MIA.
But I used the money for a tube Amp :)
Play what you enjoy

Did you do a complete tear down of the new bass?

Only partial for today. Cleaned off some DNA and putting on new strings.

Will it sound massive with the 1/4 pounders?

Well both. They came on the bass. I like it a lot actually. Best Jazz sound I have had. Way superior to Active for me. I'm gonna say it. I love this sound.

Anyone else prefer passive?

That's me. It's not that I have not tried.
But there is a certain character to the sound on passive pups, I don't hear in active basses. Also not a fan of a lot of modern amps, they are scooped. In my mind you, you shouldn't have to dime the mids to get mids

Am I too opinionated?
