Haha, Mother of Pearl

And no screeching banshees for this guy! Bass is the only instrument that has been unfortunate enough for me to ruin it!

How about you?

That is WAY better then some bromine yellowed white.

Dabbled on guitar and piano. Just a hack tho. Was lead singer in a prog metal band and then bass. Bass is definitely the most intriguing to me.

What decade did you grow up in? Surely there was some git idol then?

Git idol?

Born in 76, raised by fairly old fashioned parents, so learned a lot about old music and cars, and fixing things yourself.

8 years older. I just meant like for me Kiss (for a short time), the Black Sabbath and Zep, VH etc etc were huge to my small brain. And the guitar dominates. So the guitar seems to be the obvious choice for most or drums if the parents are brave enough.

How about Eddy or Lynch, Vai? How did you avoid this common path?

When I was a kid, I was actually saving up for a Les Paul. Then I got arrested at 14, my mom told me I was on the wrong path, I took her advice and bought a bass instead!

When is new toy time?
Always love NBD!

Leaving soon. Have a bit of a drive but not too bad. Worried about traffic from NH primary. Probably won't be back on until tonight.

Where is @twinjet to keep this thread going?

Sorry fellas! I was out and about since 12 yesterday... Practice with one band from 1-3, then I got ready for my gig and drove two hours for a four hour gig. Hour and a half drive back, got home around 2 am. Nice to know I'm missed! ;)

What's the longest commute to a gig you have ever experienced?

As no-gigging less than amatuer bedroom cowboy, I walk about 20 feet :)
Before my buddy moved, we just bombed his basement once a week, about 30 min drive.
One of the few nice things about a big chitty!

Which part of the great frozen tundra are you?

The not-frozen part. :). I'm in South central. Anchorage doesn't see that permafrost crap.

Is it snowing again?
