Is there any tonal reason not to wire multiple identical cabs in series in order to present an amplifier with an acceptable load. For example, two four ohm cabs in series would be 8 ohms but in parallel would be 2 ohms which is something that some amps can't handle. There are a couple of outfits online that sell a series Y cable, so it's not hard to do.

Ok, bonus question - what if the cabs have tweeters and crossovers?

Here's a link to a place that sells the cable. Thinking about getting one to hook up two 6 ohm cabs to an amp that is only good down to 4 ohms.
