Talkbass Vinyl Club

Friends, I hope you all are having a great weekend!!

I just finished this EP, let me know what you think of the sound. In working on the vinyl master so your feedback is really appreciated
Do you know how can I add the EONS EP vinyl to Discogs?

THANK YOU in advance!

Here you can hear digital samples of the whole EP: [This invalid link has been removed]

Welp, a bit belated but I'm glad I came across this thread. I have 3 setups currently -

The first is a Bang & Olufsen (converted to standard RCA cables by a local shop) into an ART preamp, then an Onkyo receiver (courtesy of my brother). That setup is paired with Advent Mini IIs. It's in the media room that also has my record collection and our TV and such.

The second is an Technics SL-Q300 direct drive turntable that I bought in college for like $10. It goes into a recently purchased Sony receiver paired with Realistic Minimus 7s. (See here - Best new receiver with phono input???) That's the bedroom setup.

Both of those setups also include vintage JVC cassette decks. The deck in the bedroom was free from the local dump.

The third is a vintage Hitachi direct drive table that is HEAVY. It's paired with an old Technics receiver I bought new over 20 years ago, and an old Denon cassette deck a friend gave me. That's gonna go downstairs for entertaining and such, but it's not currently set up.

I think I have close to 600 records. I buy mostly online from bandcamp pages for the artists I like, but also directly from the bands at shows or from record labels. I don't record shop as much because our local shops don't tend to carry the stuff I'm into. I do like checking out local shops when travelling, though. Soundgarden in Baltimore and Vinyl Conflict in Richmond are a couple of my favorites.

My secret hippie record store here is Piranha in Round Rock. Not as big as Waterloo or as uppity as Breakaway. They're just cool old friendly folks.
Another of my favorites is End of an Ear in Austin.

Now this is a thread for me... anyone else catalog their collectiong thru Discogs?

Best new receiver with phono input???

I found a [EDIT: Free] streaming service that uses vinyl-sourced material exclusively, and in ultra-high quality. The "worst" quality stream is 320kbps MP3s. Their libraries aren't huge but there's some pretty interesting material. The primary stream is a mix of lots of stuff - they're playing AC/DC right now. They also have classical and all-instrumental streams. You can request a song and it usually plays within 15 minutes or so.

Could be worth checking out.
