I just got off the phone with Eden Tech support. He told me that the E300T is in fact made in China and rebadged. Also, for the folks that have had some problems they said that on the first run of these amps their was a problem with the preamp section and the fix was a $8.00 tube.... but he didn't have the serial number spread on that first run batch. Anyone have that problem? If so, and you didn't mind, what serial number might you have? Thanks!

SVT....I'm in !!!! But just for fun and a change of pace from.... "let's flame Eden"...., Let's talk about all the problems I personally had with a Ampeg svt-cl head !!!!....Or all the problems I had with a Sunn 2000S prior to that....Or....all the problems our steel player has had from his Peaveys....or....the neck problems on one of our guitarist Gibson Les Pauls. There's gonna be problems from all manufactures equipment....move on!
To the O.P. I suggest you try the Eden web site, www.eden-electronics.com , you can get a informed answer there.

Well, I would like to say that I am "NOT trying to flame Eden at all. The fact of the matter is that I am looking into picking one of these amps up and I do not want to get one out of the first batch that my have a problem, and that is why I'm looking for help from owners (serial numbers) that may have had the bad luck of getting one with a problem.
I own an Eden WT400 and am looking to make the switch to all tube and would very much like to stay with Eden even if the E300T is made over there. :) This post was not meant to bash at all. It's just there is not enough information from users on these yet.... just looking for a good one.

"rebadged"? So you're saying that it's a generic tube bass amp and they just slap Eden's logo on it. Like the low-end generic basses that all look the same but have different names, headstocks, and logos? Or did you add the "rebadge" to what Eden's Customer Service said? Or did you talk to someone who's not employed by US MUsic, but does work on Eden amps?

They've never hidden that the amp is made in China, to my knowledge.

That's exactly what he meant. The same amp is sold internationally under a few different brand names. There have been a few threads here about its various incarnations.

If you look for the Peavy VB-2 head thread you will see that there was a problem with the first handful of amps... Just a fuse. They are using new fuse's now, Problem solved.
Eden also has taken care of the pre-amp tube problem with the E300T. Yes it comes from over there but I don't care. I wish I could get the "Ashton BV300H" or the "Fame 300", but I can't so after looking on the "Evil Bay" I found a E300T for $1,099.00 new. I called the place and asked for the serial number to see if it was one of the early one's. So... I was just looking for folks that may have bought an early one and what the serial number was so I could compare. That's all. I think a few folks figured this thread was a flame... sorry to spoil anyone's fun but it is not.
If there isn't anyone on TB that has bought one then fine, so be it. It's all good.

This should be interesting :)... Bassflute you in for the spectacle:)

Just kidding:D

and the fine products they make. Their customer service is second to none in the industry. And they treat their workers fairly and squarely; they ensure that each of the handicapped children making those amps in the unheated factory in northern China, whose families are being held hostage by the corporation, are only chained to the table 18 hours a day so they can at least still attend school; that is, those old enough to go.

:hiding:

What makes you think I've got anything against Eden?

Cheers,
Cameron

What!!

Thats quite amazing. I've always viewed Ashton at the same level as hartke sort of gear.

You can pick up one of those Ashton tube heads for 1200 Aud over here. Thats less expensive than ampeg b2r's, little mark 2, and a heap of other stuff. As an example, ampeg tube amps run around 3200 new over here.

How do they go?
