Tall Font Russian vs. Grey Stache

So, which one do you think sounds best on bass? Civil War, Green Russian, Civil Unrest?
The Dirty Rooster version sounds the best on bass. This pedal was subsequently redesigned because guitar players were complaining there was too much bass. Which sounds perfect if you are a bass player!!

The Civil Unrest if my least favorite. The Civil War and the Green Russian are both terrific in different ways.

++Edit++ My least favorite is not the Civil Unrest, it's the Red Army. I've never owned a Civil Unrest but I did own a Red Army which was a nice pedal but not as compelling on bass as SUF other pedals. Sorry about my confusion and bad.

I have read that Matt from SUF says the Civil War is the best pedal he makes for bass but again, I've just read that he said that. If you guys are talking to him, ask him what he thinks!

I also read..probably in the same place..that the Civil Unrest indeed does not sound exactly like the Civil War and that it's just not as robust sounding. I initially wanted the Civil Unrest but went with the Civil War after reading all that.

The DIrty Rooster does not seem listed on their site anymore.

I could have also read that he said the Civil War was the best MUFF for bass, as the Dirty Rooster was not a Muff.

Yeah, just read about that before. It was a Tone Bender. It's funny that they then produced a Supa Dirty Rooster which was a souped up Dirty Booster (Still a tonebender) while the original SupaTone was not a ToneBender anymore but a Muff variant :)

Well, I am kind of sold on either the Civil War or Green Russian. I just need to choose, wait a bit, then inquire about top jacks...

Discontinued I believe. The pedal was a take on the Jumbo Tonebender and the first run of 20 was endowed with enormous bass.
Guitar players complained (sissies!) and the next run was done with a lesser amount of low end. I don't think more than 40 or 60 were produced. I own number the 4 or 5 and it's my best fuzz. After running though 20 to 20 fuzz that's the one I ultimately kept.
Another pedal from this first run recently sold in the classified.

From the images I saw, the jacks are not soldered onto the board. I don't see why it could not be rehoused with top jacks. I may just look for one of these on the used market with the intent of rehousing later on. Maybe even have an enclosure etched to perfection for the rehouse?
Yeah I don't get it either. He said he was changing the drill pattern on the enclosure and that's why no top jacks. I don't know. The more I think about it the more a Mountainking Heavy Machine seems like the way to go. You can even rehouse those in smaller enclosures easier. Behndys looks pretty sweet.
