It's not. Let's just be clear about that. Shipping a single pedal to Europe fully insured has never cost me more than $35 - and often it costs less than that.

And trust me I get many many pedals shipped (see below). The US->Australia is probably one of the most extreme examples you can come up with. And to try to justify charging me $50 to send a $160 RT to Europe by saying that it cost $46 to send a $250 pedal to Australia is absurd. And even in this most extreme example, they are making 8% or so on shipping if they charged the customer $50. Ok remove PayPal fees and you are down to 5%. Still the fair thing to do would be to say - we will charge you the actual amount. Or damn close.

Can we please just drop this? It pisses me off too much to think about it.

I have both these on my board.

TFR sounds smoother and deeper. If you were playing like...black sabbath or witchcraft type rock where the bass doesn't always follow the guitar riff, but you don't want to murder the mix by jumping out in front...TFR is your pedal. It has a commanding and stoic presence that's not in your face.

I read all the time that the stache has bottom end. It does...but next to a TFR it is not as deep. When I want to have a huge, round fatty bottom end tone I turn on dat TFR.

The stache is more responsive to playing dynamics and also more aggressive overall. It's better when you are playing more wall of sound type things. Things the TFR would get buried in. If you need to just murder the audience with mids, or make that guy on the front row with patchy facial hair grow a beard...yea, use the stache. It doesn't work well for growing your own stache or beard though, I've been trying. :/

Yeah, the stomp under foot ones look very high quality and could be rehoused easily. Some of the other ones I found that are supposed to be real good look like they are a bit too flimsy to be rehoused easily and properly

Definitely. North Effects in the UK does pretty much what SUF does, but the pics of the insides don't seem to measure up to what SUF puts out.

Matt should be able to do this for you. I've purchased several pedals from him and he's always been very nice and responsive to deal with.
I once owned a cool one off bass overdrive he had build. That pedal was very interesting.

SUF who already had a big reputation has become the darling of guitar enthusiasts since Gearmandude did several videos of his pedals.

So, which one do you think sounds best on bass? Civil War, Green Russian, Civil Unrest?
