Taste? Nope, none of that here

Thanks man. You're a true bro. When you have 1/4 the experience that I do with these situations, I'll possibly take your opinions seriously. Oh wait, no I won't.

I've dealt with far more suicides and suicide attempts than you care to realize. A few of these people were very, very close to me. Don't attempt to disguise your complete inability to see things from other peoples points-of-view with 'experience.'

medications and therapy can -always- help. it ends up being a question of how much they help.

True, but in some cases, a lot of cases, the help is marginal. I just think statements that generalize, with regards to anything, are ridiculous. You can't just lump everyone together like that, without really understanding their situation.

I didn't say I was disregarding everyone's opinion. Just Tpr Favres. I disregard his opinion on almost every topic. I thought I knew everything when I was 15 too. Same at 25. I certainly DON'T know everything now, but the fact I was dealing with this LONG before you were born, and while TprFavre was still still pooping in his pants and sucking a pacifier, gives me a certain amount of credibility. My argument consists of only one thing, suicide is a selfish act.
I'm not arguing about mental illness and it's devastating toll. I'm not arguing about the other poster's terminally ill aunt. Although I may not condone suicide in that case, I can certainly understand it.

Man, I can't wait til I get old, and entirely disregard the opinions of others, just because they don't have my 'experience.' It must be so empowering to be right all the time.

I don't know everything, I never claimed to know everything.

And any credibility you may have earned with 'experience' is all but destroyed by your stubbornness. A fundamental inability to understand is why I'll never take any argument you present seriously. At least John Turner, who disagrees with me here, actually makes clear points to support what he's saying, instead of blind reiteration and claims of "I'm older, my opinion counts more"

Apparently, among other problems, you have a reading comprehension problem. I welcome others opinions, and certainly have been wrong a lot more than once, probably just today. However, your opinion is meaningless to me, because you have proven yourself again and again, to be a pompous know it all, with no basis (at least that you have shown) to have that opinion of yourself. On top of that, you seem to revel in your "internet tough guy" style of posting. To get respect, you have to earn it, and you've earned none. I'm more than happy to be corrected or have my eyes opened by people who think differently than I do. Just ask Brad Johnson or Doc Cheese. You, however, are just laughable.
