Tattoos on women are awesome. The more the better. Preferably fully covered with a circus freak kind of look about them. But then again im into all kinds of women. Heck give her one eye, half a leg or maybe make her a midget and we could cover several bases all with one chick.

Thats fine if people like tattoos and all, but its not reason to judge those that don't.
as far as the sheep thing........ yeah, I kinda see it.
A whole bunch of people expressing their individuality - exactly like everyone else.
People follow fads and trends, deny it all you guys want, but it's true.

But like anything, even in the biggest fads you will find the "true believers" who would be doing it regardless of its social popularity, and in fact are probably just as bugged by the fad for different reasons. sure. the thing is, no one is judging those who don't.
Only, youre passing judgement on people by declaring to know the reasons why people get tattoos.
Not everyone gets tatted to "express their individulaity", many people have their own reasons.
To make judgements on them without understanding and lumping them in with people who follow trends and calling them sheep is disrespectful.
Tattoos are, today, for the most part, a bunch of people following a trend. It's no different than any other trend, like Members Only jackets, or long hair on guys; however, tattoos are going to be a whole lot harder to disguard once they fall out of fashion. The sheep comment was funny, but also somewhat true
So is fashion as a whole but I don't see it getting a bad rap (with the exception of the folks whole like to wear their pants below their ass). No real difference to me. If the tattoo is well done, it's a non-issue. And the way I see it, the days of tattoos being really en vogue have passed anyway.
They haven't passed, if anything they are more in vogue -- I can tell by the number of middle aged women with stamps at wall mart. The difference in tattoos and other trends is that tattoos are rather permanent -- the Member Only jacket can simply be put in the good will basket when the time comes...
Again, you can make judgement on peoples behaviors, but that doesnt make them true.
It most certainly is different. I dont know any person who went out and got themselves a Members Only jacket as a mark of surviving cancer, but maybe you do.
Are there some people out there who get tattoos because they find them "trendy", absolutely. But calling all those people sheep, well to me it speaks more about the person making the generalizations than it does the person who gets a tattoo to commemorate the loss of their childs life.
Certainly all those women have gotten their ink within the last few years...?
That is such a straw man argument. Are you honestly arguing that most people getting tattoos are doing because they survived cancer or lost a child? Please...
No, Im just illustrating that many people get tattoos for reasons other than following a trend.
If you can't understand that, I guess there isnt much use in furthering the discussion.

Someone can claim that they got their Tribal Butt Crack tattoo (tramp stamp) as a celebration of surviving cancer or as a memorial to a lost loved one,

Sure it is. Look back to the time before the tattoo craze and generally it was sailors and bike gang members getting them; now its grandmothers, basement rebels, and children. I have no problem with this, people can do what they want, but I think its going to be sad when the fad really does die, and people are stuck with all of the stamps.
