Though, seems Ive only ever dated women without tats. Keep in mind I said "dated".
Every aspect of life can make one unhappy if you focus too much on the negative side of it.

Unfortunately I dont have the disposable income to afford some fresh ink at the moment.
You know, though it seems double-standardish, this thread is much less so than one might think.
The majority of those in the thread who don't like tattoos seem more to not like them at all, rather than just not on women.
Wow, where did that come from? I was just answering the "pics or it didn't happen" comment. Why do you feel it so necessary to be like that? Just because I have reasons to get tattoos rather than the usual "Oh, that's cool looking, I want the same one" reason doesn't mean I'm all about trying to be different but the same. I like tattoos. That's why I got them. I also like tattoos on women. To me, most of the time it shows personal expression and they make great conversation pieces when you get a chance to mingle at parties or gigs. I've even gotten a few session gigs from conversations that started by someone asking about my tattoos.

If that was what you said, I don't think anyone could take issue with it, but what you actually said is, "I guess I am just showing my age, but I think tattoos on women look terrible."
If you make a broad, sweeping, judgmental statement like that, don't be surprised that you ruffle some feathers.
I don't like tattoos on women. Tattoos have become too commonplace overall and when it became a fad, prices went bananas and the fact that they became a fad turned me off to getting any new ones.
I have been tempted to get the UPC code from a Spam can tattooed on my butt though. Or maybe a Spam UPC tramp stamp.

It's funny how people with tattoos don't seem to get upset about people that don't have them, but people that don't have them seem to feel obligated to run their mouths about people that do have them.
One of my best friends is a tattooist, and he's been nagging me for 30 years to let him "put some ink" on me. I've always refused, because I've never thought of anything worth tattooing on myself.
Yeah I know this is completely irrelevant, but it's 5am, I'm unwinding from a gig, and I'm really bored. Generally, I think tasteful tattoos look tasteful, and crap tattoos look crappy, whether it's on a man or a woman (though women tend to have better taste in my experience).

I'm not anti tattoo, really, my statements were related to the social/pop culture phenomenon of mass tattooing over the last few years, not about the aesthetics of tattoos.
