Tax question:

I just got my W2 and found out that I made ~9,000 in 06. I payed ~1000 in taxes, I'm a full time student and am dependant on my parents. How much money will I recieve back?

Federal: ~700
State: ~300
SS: ~500
MC: ~100

Well, I wasn't sure if there was some special thing I had to do to file for the optimum amount of refund. I don't do my taxes, my Dad does. I asked him and he said I'm not going to see much. I wasn't sure so I thought I'd ask here.

Actually, I had something similar last year... or actually, the year before.. I made quite a bit, so the lady that does our taxes (friend of the family) said it would be better if my parents wrote me down as a dependant for them. They just shared some of the wealth when it came.
