Hello, I'm friends with ___(name withheld)___, who is a TB addict. He's been here almost 4 years, now and shows no signs of letting up. In fact, he's getting worse. Much worse. I'd like to help him, if I can.
He's joined several clubs, and is still active in most of them, only very occasionally making off topic posts in any of them. He still follows and lurks in the clubs he's not so active in, but will sometimes chime in when the topic strikes him.
He scans all the "Active Today" and "Latest Posts" on the home page, reading at least the first page of comments on many of them. He also does lots of random searches from the home page for whatever topics pop into his head. Frequently he starts searching side topics found in whatever thread he's reading at the moment. If he finds some useful information he's not shy about sharing it!
This is obsessive behavior that is detrimental to his real life being, because he does all this TB stuff instead of all kinds of real life stuff he really should be doing! He even admits this!! But, he usually lies and says he's cutting back, or tapering off, but he's not.
Is there any way to help him to really kick this TB monkey on his back? I'll do anything I reasonably can to help, just tell me what, O great and wise TB Jedi Masters. Help me, you Obiwan Kenobis, you. You're my only hope.
