Charles Bradley just passed away at 68. He released his debut album at 62. You can be relevant at any age.
There are Geezers of all ages.
Although I am in my 60's and have been playing bass for 50+ years, I don't really think of myself as a Geezer (yet I am sure that it is entirely possible that others might).
On the other hand, I have met people in their 30's and 40's who appear display the highest of Geezer behaviors, qualities, and standards.
Geezerism is a state of mind.

I like it when people 50 years old claim that they are middle-aged.

Clocked 67 last April, lost 20 lbs and another 20 is targeted.
Working out has helped a great deal in load in/out and long performances.
Wish I was a better player after 5 decades, trying to do something about that too.
The best thing I can say about my geezer status is that I can call it like it is, can deal with more reality than I used to. Hair and teeth are real issues.
My advice to you youngsters out there: floss and brush your teeth. It will save you a fortune and you'll keep them pearlies rather than the store bought.

Absolutely, my TB friend! I prefer to deny my Geezerism, but my kids won't let me......................
All 3 of my boys and 1 daughter display it...... and they blame ME. The boys say, "Dad, you raised us to be grumpy old men". This bothers me, but........for some weird reason, makes this dad PROUD! They are all grown up, straight laced, hard-working kiddos. I hope they blame me for that, too........!! In the meantime, I still have this fantasy of being a rock star....... I sure hope they don't catch me screaming in front of the mirror. BTW, I'll be 60 in 8 months..........
There is only one Geezer. He played for Black Sabbath. That is a band from before the invention of YouTube, kids. The rest of you claiming to be Geezer are just lying.
I just want to say...I am in if there's any interest in forming a new religion called geezerism. (Note the small 'g'. Don't want Mister Butler getting any ideas.)
