But the problem is that your age is changing and the results of the poll will be getting wrong with the time going on.

I voted, but I think the best way to present a poll like this is by asking "What decade were you born".
ex 1940-1950
1951-1960
1961-1970, etc

or something along those lines. That way, the thread will stay relevant forever. Someone who reads this thread 12 years from now will still get an accurate breakdown of age.

Looking at the poll results, it looks like a graph from a statistics textbook. Very interesting.

For comparison purposes, here is a distribution graph of the general population into age groups. Different age brackets between them, but the shape of the curve is similar. Young at the bottm, old at the top in both. What's notable is that there are so few young people-- the middle and old all seem to follow the curve. Only 16.2% here are 30 or under. Probably at least double that in the general population. Youngsters today-- leaving all the heavy lifting like bass playing-- to their elders.

Last cover band I was in I immediately thought, "these guys are kind of old" at the audition but when inquiring of their ages me and the lead singer turned out to be the oldest of the bunch!

62 here - and happy to be here to say so.

Age is a state of mind - not a state of grace. I figure if I just refuse to grow old, I can stay young till I die.

Youngest man I ever knew was my great grandfather. He was 28 his entire active and independent life. Stayed that age right up until the day he died, three days shy of his hundred and fifth birthday.

That's where I learned the secret.
