in the TB classifieds: This is the best bass I've ever owned, but I need to thin the heard.

I love the following cliche/scenario -
OP lists issue or problem with bass/amp/cab/strings/etc.
TB Members provide excellent alternatives to said problems.
OP replies to every alternative with "No, I don't like that because... " and proceeds to either go completely off topic or describe he/she would really rather do (which is EXACLTY what they are doing now.)

I know I'm gonna regret if I sale this bass but will it sale it anyways so I have something to lament over and post about because new to me gear isn't enough to fill the void
TB Cliché's and their opposites
(1) My favorite songs that I always look forward to playing are "Brown-Eyed Girl" and "Mustang Sally."
(2) Our bandleader is caring, smart, considerate, professional, and makes sure everyone in the band gets to shine and be heard playing whatever they want. Plus we are so well paid!
(3) I don't want any recommendations on what bass to buy.
(4) Everyone in the audience always lines up to compliment me on my thoughtful note choices and busy solos. Especially the ladies (wink-wink).

I'm just getting started playing electric bass, because I'm interested in learning conventional notation including bass, tenor, and treble clefs, theory, harmony, and really looking forward to spending many hours every day honing my technique in order to have a lucrative, fulfilling career making great music with similarly dedicated musicians down the road ten years.
How come everyone in the band keeps time better than me?
