I just picked up a Polytune on Black Friday. It's great!
I've been using the Boss TU-2 which has a nice display but is slow.
The Polytune has a nice display and is fast. This is the way to go.

Just spent some time with the Polytune. I agree, compared the the TU-2, it is a great tuner (almost any tuner is better than that old dog IMO). Nice unit. Nice quick tracking, 'OK' accuracy. The 'polytune' function seems pretty useless for Bass Guitar... I find that the tracking is slow on that function, and strings that show out of tune or in tune do not necessarily correlate to the readings you get on the 'individual string' tuning. So, pretty useless IMO (again, at least for bass).
It is IMO not in the same league as the REALLY fast and ridiculously accurate, smaller, and more ruggedly built Sonic Turbo Tuner (it would take most much less time to just tune each string with the Sonic than using the 'polytune function').
However, nice unit, and more in competition with the PitchBlack unit... nice tracking, 'good enough' accuracy, decent construction, and vastly superior to a tuner like the TU-2. The 'polytune' function is fun, if a bit useless.

My bass tone actually comes from my guitarist's 4x12 Marshall rig w/ the bass knob on '10' LOL.
I used the TU-2 for a couple years and liked it, but found it slow and cumbersome much of the time. This Polytuner is much faster and the display tracks better than the TU-2. I also noticed that the polytune function with 4 strings strummed at once showed a string that appeared to be a touch flat but upon single-string checking turned out to be dead-on. I also noticed that the tone knob setting on the bass affected this behavior. On another bass, it was spot-on. Perhaps the tuner is using strong harmonics for tracking the different strings simultaneously and pickups/tone knob/etc might affect it? In any event, the polytune feature works well enough to show me that I'm dead-on or dang close which has made staying in-tune faster and more reliable for me so far.
DO NOT USE THE VELCRO THAT COMES WITH THIS PEDAL TO APPLY TO YOUR PEDALBOARD!!!!!!!!!!!! The adhesive is terrible and the pedal may fall off leaving the velcro on your board but not on your pedal..It happened to me and now half of my pedals suffer from paintchipitis thanks to this thing rolling around in my board during transport. Trust me, just put your own industrial strength velcro on the bottom.
Oh, the pedal itself is an awesome, fast tracking, accurate as hell, auto light adjusting trophy of a tuner (it even has a usb port in it for software, welcome to the future).

Like you've, I've had pedals come loose and float around inside my board. I hate that. And once it starts, it seems like all the pedals will eventually come off. But I haven't had an issue since I started using the Power Grip.

Hi. The polytune seems like the best tuner out there and I'm interested in getting one.
The thing is I tune my bass in C and I heard from the local musicstore that it doesn't work well when tuning the bass that low.
Can anyone please check if that's the case.

It's fast with the low B. I'll break one out and test it with a low C later today...
Duh. I'm a moron. You mean you tune a 4-string down to C, right? It tunes the B on my 5-string just fine, so it'll definitely hit an E string tuned down to C. I did just confirm that, too, just to make sure.

Just FYI - I ship to Sweden quite a bit, and it's fairly inexpensive to do so (especially something this small).
I've only used the original Polytune, and I love it. I would assume they all operate in a similar manner.
